"Jacquelyn holds medicine in a direct earthy way. I have experienced her authenticity and am delighted to recommend her healing work for others."

"I have had the privilege and honor to be part of Jacquelyn's extraordinary healing journey starting in Maine in the 1980's. Let me put it this way: I've met many many people who call themselves healers.  Few are as extraordinarily gifted as Jacquelyn. This woman is the genuine article."

It is with great pleasure that I provide this letter of recommendation for Jacquelyn Brenner, RN, LMT.  Jacquelyn has worked at York Hospital in a number of capacities and has consistently shown to be exceptionally patient oriented, skillful and innovative.

Jacquelyn and I have known each other for over twenty years as she provided care for folks in her capacities in the ER, OR, Medical Surgical Unit, ICU, Birthing, Chemical Dependency and Wellness.

No single person has provided as much “spark” to stimulate York Hospital’s clinical and social conscience as Jacquelyn.  She is a jewel that offers much to the world.

I have worked with Jacquelyn for 13 years while both of us were affiliated with York Hospital.  During this period of time I was Jacquelyn’s supervisor.  Jacquelyn has been employed at York Hospital in a variety of nursing roles covering a span of 27 years;

Working as a RN on every unit and every shift.  These units include acute care medical/surgical units, surgical services, skilled nursing unit and emergency department.  More impressively, Jacquelyn was instrumental in the creation of three new services at York Hospital that contributed greatly to the hospital’s reputation for being a very progressive hospital.  These services were the Chemical Dependence Program, Birthing Service and Integrative medicine Center.  She continued as a caregiver in various capacities since the inception of these newly created services.

Throughout Jacquelyn’s professional career she has pursued further education.  In addition to being a RN, she has been a BLS instructor for 20 years and Instructor Trainer for 8 years.  She is also a Craniosacral Therapist, Reiki Master, and Massage Therapist.

Jacquelyn’s strengths are in the areas of creativity, listening, problem solving, communication and human caring and compassion.  Jacquelyn is assertive, goal directed and a very effective leader.  In a crisis Jacquelyn can take charge of the situation and remain calm and effective.  She is respected by all her health care colleagues for her clinical abilities and knowledge, initiative, judgment and attitude.

I would welcome any opportunity to work with Jacquelyn.  More importantly she is the “nurse” by which I judge all others.

I have known Jacquelyn Brenner for almost 15 years in her capacity as a birthing nurse and wellness facilitator at York Hospital.

I worked most closely with Jacquelyn when she was a birthing nurse.  Her skill in that arena was unparalleled in the history of the birthing unit.   She was familiar with techniques to make patients comfortable at a difficult time in their lives and was also familiar with maneuvers to alleviate fetal distress, shoulder dystocia, and other obstetric emergencies, all of which were products of her vast experience.  She was a calming influence in what could sometimes be a rather chaotic scene.  Although she was missed when she moved into the Wellness Center, that move was not surprising given her long term interest in alternative therapies.

She is an accomplished Craniosacral Therapist, Reiki Master, and massage therapist, all of which she has practiced on me at some point or another in our long association with wonderful results.

Her presence has been so pervasive at York Hospital that I imagine a surrogate will have to be made to avoid the creation of a vacuum when she leaves.  We will miss her deeply.
